Visit Vaasa's Summer Bus, Wednesdays 3.-31.7.2024 - World Heritage Gateway Visitor Center
Visit the World Heritage Gateway, located by Finland’s longest bridge, Replot Bridge, and just at the border of the World Heritage Site of Kvarken Archipelago. At the Gateway, you will learn about the World Heritage and get tips on the places and events to visit in the archipelago.
At the Gateway’s hall (Littorina) and Art Gallery Arte Mare, you can explore the Kvarken World Heritage by yourself with the help of short videos, brochures and art. With a small entrance fee, you experience the World Heritage of the Kvarken with different senses at the exhibition Weichsel. During the summer season, the World Heritage shop is open and sells World Heritage products and small souvenirs.
If you get hungry, the Restaurant & Cafe Berny’s offers food in the same premises year-round. The Gateway is an obstacle free zone and suitable for families with children.
It is possible to rent a World Heritage Bike and explore the Replot village, or bike down to the beach or visit Kvarken Brewery’s Gastropub to acquaint yourself with the microbrewery’s products. Or why not take a walk across the bridge, take the opportunity to admire the view and perhaps visit the local fish shop on the other side of the bridge?
The rent for the World Heritage Bike is 10 €/day or 5 €/4 hours. A bike helmet is included in the rent. It is not possible to book a bike in advance and the rent is paid on-site.
