Mari Pakarinen

Trumpet – Co-principal

Mari Pakarinen, from Kausala, Iitti, started in the trumpet section of Vaasa City Ochestra in the Autumn 2018. She has studied in Tampere, in Zürich in Switzerland and did her Master’s at Sibelius Academy in 2019. Mari has also worked at the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, at the Guards Band and at Pori Sinfonietta.

Mari is an enthusiastic chamber musician and has participated in the Kuhmo Chamber Music’s Young Chamber Musicians-program since 2016 and has performed in e.g. Tampere Tampering Modern Music Festival, Lieksa Brass Week, Avanti! Summer Sounds and Iitti Music Festival. Mari enjoys growing plants, flea markets and ice swimming in the wintertime.
