The Vaasa City Library’s online library service will return to the Finna platform on 2 December 2024. You log in to Finna with your library card number and PIN code as usual.
What will change?
- Following the change, the online library’s address will be vaasankirjasto.finna.fi.
- Saved searches and favourite lists from the current online library, Arena, will not be transferred automatically to Finna. We recommend saving your lists manually.
- It will be possible to link multiple library cards to your account again. This will allow guardians to view their dependent children’s loan details through their own account.
- Online payments will be temporarily unavailable. This feature is currently under development, with the goal of reinstating online payments as part of the service offering in spring 2025.
Finna is home to millions of cultural and scientific resources in Finland. Finna is managed and developed by the National Library of Finland. Numerous public libraries in Finland use the Finna online library. Finna.fi is especially useful for those who use multiple libraries or wish to search for a wide range of materials.
