Published: 4.9.2024
A new post-treatment unit is being built at the Pilvilampi water supply plant. The new unit will be operational in autumn 2025. Once completed, the plant’s new ozonation and activated carbon filtration technology will enhance domestic water quality and ensure compliance with the Drinking Water Directive well into the future.
Ozonation and activated carbon filtration technology improve the taste and smell of water and remove impurities. The new unit’s technology will also contribute to reducing the build-up of sediment in the water supply network.
Additionally, the building’s design takes into account reliability, energy efficiency, and ease of use.
