The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) strike affects public transport in Vaasa on 2 February - most bus departures cancelled

During the strike, buses will run as follows. Changes are possible.

Bus 1 (Vekka)

• Västervik – Liisanlehto: 7.05, 7.35, 8.40, 9.10, 12.40, 14.10, 14.40, 15.10, 15.40, 16.10
• City Hall – Liisanlehto: 12.05, 12.35
• Liisanlehto – Västervik: 7.35, 8.05, 13.05, 13.35, 14.05, 14.35, 15.05, 16.35
• Liisanlehto – Rewell Shopping Centre: 9.05, 9.35, 10.05
• Rewell Shopping Centre – Västervik: 12.00

Bus 3 (Vekka)

• Gerby – Vaskiluoto: 7.15, 8.15, 9.15, 12.15, 13.15, 14.15, 15.15, 16.15
• Vaskiluoto – Gerby: 7.45, 8.45, 11.45, 12.45, 13.45, 14.45, 15.45, 16.45
• Vaskiluoto – Rewell Shopping Centre: 9.45

Bus 5 (Oravaisten liikenne)

• Normal timetables apply, except for the 9.15 departure from Gerby to the city centre, which is cancelled.

Bus 12 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

Bus 21 (Vekka)

• Market Square – Central Hospital – (Näset) – (Kronvik) – Sundom – Söderfjärden: 6.45, 8.10, 10.30, 13.10, 15.10, 16.20
• Söderfjärden – Sundom – (Näset) – City Centre: 7.15, 9.00, 11.05

Bus 21 (Oravaisten liikenne)

• Vaasan ratsastuskeskus – Kronvik – Central Hospital – City Centre 7.20

Bus 31 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

• According to the normal timetable

Bus 13 (Wiik & Ström / Wasabus)

• No departures from the port at 00:00 and 02.00

Bus 30 (Wiik & Ström / Wasabus)

• According to the normal timetable between 6.30 and 18.00, the first morning and the last two evening departures will be cancelled.

Service buses 1–6 will operate as normal.

During the strike, we offer free bus travel on the routes operated by Vekka and Oravaisten Liikenne. Regular fees will apply for routes operated by Wiik & Ström / Wasabus.

When we know more about the departures to be operated, we will update them in this news. Be prepared for queues and delays. It is also good to be aware that timetables for the day of the strike may not hold.
