The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) strike affects public transport in Vaasa on 14 December - most bus departures cancelled

During the strike, buses will run as follows:

Bus 1 (Vekka)

• Liisanlehto – Palosaarentie 64 morning departures at 7.35, 8.35 and 9.35
• City Hall – Liisanlehto morning departures at 8.05 and 9.05
• Liisanlehto – City Centre afternoon departures at 12.35, 13.35, 14.35 and 15.35
• Västervik – City Centre morning departures at 7.05, 8.05 and 9.10
• City Centre – Västervik afternoon at 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00 and 16.00

Bus 3 (Vekka)

• Gerby – Vaskiluoto morning departures at 7.15, 8.15 and 9.15
• Vaskiluoto – Gerby morning departures at 7.45, 8.45 and 9.45. The last morning departure from Vaskiluoto stops already at the Rewell Shopping Centre.
• Vaskiluoto – Gerby afternoon departures at 11.45, 12.45, 13.45, 14.45, 15.45 and 16.45
• Gerby – Vaskiluoto afternoon departures at 12.15, 13.15, 14.15, 15.15 and 16.15

Bus 5 (Oravaisten liikenne)

• Kråklund – Keskuskoulu morning departure at 7.25
• Kauppahalli – Kråklund morning departure at 7.10
• Kråklund – Market Square afternoon departure at 13.40
• City Centre – Kråklund at 14.10

Bus 6 (Vekka)

• Sepänkylä – Vaskiluoto morning departures at 7.30, 8.30 and 9.32. The last bus from Sepänkylä stops already at the city centre.
• Vaskiluoto – Sepänkylä morning departures at 8.00 and 9.00
• Market Square – Sepänkylä at 11.50
• Vaskiluoto – Sepänkylä afternoon departures at 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00 and 16.00
• Sepänkylä – Vaskiluoto afternoon departures at 13.32, 13.32, 14.30 and 15.30

Bus 7K (Vekka)

• Liisanlehto – City Centre departures 7.35, 8.35, 9.35, 12.55, 13.55, 14.55, 15.55 and 16.55
• City Hall – Liisanlehto afternoon departures at 12.15, 13.15, 14.15 and 15.15

Bus 10 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

• According to the normal timetable

Bus 11 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

• Normal timetables apply, except for the 9.15 departure from Gerby to the city centre, which is cancelled.

Bus 12 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

• According to the normal timetable

Bus 21 (Vekka)

• Markbacken – Kronvik – Näset – City Centre morning departure at 7.20
• Market Square – Central Hospital – Näset – Kronvik – Sundom afternoon departure at 14.10

Bus 31 (Oravaisten Liikenne)

• According to the normal timetable

Bus 13 (Wiik & Ström / Wasabus)

• According to the normal timetable

Bus 30 (Wiik & Ström / Wasabus)

• According to the normal timetable

Service buses 1–6 will operate as normal.

During the strike, we offer free bus travel on the routes operated by Vekka and Oravaisten Liikenne. Regular fees will apply for routes operated by Wiik & Ström / Wasabus.

Be prepared for queues and delays. It is also good to be aware that timetables for the day of the strike may not hold.
