Suvilahti daycare will be closed for renovation over the summer

Suvilahti daycare will be closed from 1 June to 31 July for renovation. Punahilkka daycare will serve as the substitute daycare facility.
The renovation will improve the indoor air quality in the building.
An building condition survey was carried out based on indoor air quality reports, revealing damage to the building’s structures. In addition, contaminants may be carried into the indoor air. The survey was carried out by Afry Finland Oy.
Over the summer, structural joints will be sealed, ventilation balanced, and pressure differences adjusted.
Children attending Suvilahti daycare will be transferred to Punahilkka for the summer. Parents have been informed through Wilma. The renovation will take place during the summer, as fewer children will be attending daycare at that time.
Suvilahti daycare has four groups for children aged 0–5.
