Prices for sports services change due to VAT increase

The prices for the City of Vaasa’s sports services have been updated, effective from 1 March 2025. The price increase is due to the recent rise in VAT on sports services from 10% to 14%.
The VAT increase will raise the fees for Vaasa’s swimming hall and the prices of group exercise classes, as well as the rental fees for sports facilities and courts.
The prices of Öjberget ski lift tickets will not change.
Examples of price changes
Swimming hall
- Single ticket for adults: new price €6.70 (was €6.50)
- 10-visit ticket for adults: new price €61 (was €59.20)
- Single ticket for children aged 4–12: new price €3.80 (was €3.70)
Group exercise classes
- Exercise card (health-enhancing physical activity and adaptive exercise): new price €56 (was €54)
- Exercise card for retired or unemployed individuals and students: new price €43 (was €41)
