Parking at the port will become subject to a fee

Parking at the Port of Vaasa will become subject to a fee starting 5 February. Finding an available parking space at the port during peak seasons can be difficult, and the same spaces are also used by the people working in Vaskiluoto.
Going forward, there will be two paid parking areas at the port. Parking will cost €0.70 per hour, or €3.20 per day. Both areas will have parking meters, and payment can also be made via a mobile app.
The decision was made by the Urban Environment Board already on 9 August 2023. The actual implementation had to wait until the port’s street project was completed and the parking area improved.
