Museums have weekly program for children during July

Vaasa city museums arrange weekly program for families during july. The programs are in Finnish and Swedish, Tuesday to Friday. The program begins with a short tour of the museum and ends with a children’s art workshop.
Three-year-old Elisabetta took part in Wednesdays tour, when her mother Noora found the event on Facebook.
─ The tour was interesting. Elisabetta is still quite young, but it is nice that she gets used to going to a
museum at an early age, Noora says.
The museum tours begin on Tuesday at Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art. The program begins with getting to know the exhibitions and ends with a workshop, where the children make art from natural materials.
On Wednesday Ostrobothnian Museum tours “The sea takes, the sea brings” – exhibition. The sea theme continues during the children’s workshop.
Tikanoja Art Museum arranges the program for Thursday. First, the guide tours the most known artworks and afterwards the workshop is held at the garden.
The week ends on Friday at the Museum of Old Vaasa. The tour displays the history of the city.
Entrance and workshops are free of charge for under 18-year olds. The programs are arranged only during July, at 11:00 in Finnish and at 14:00 in Swedish.
