Lifti’s Winter Timetables Enter Into Force on 5 August
Published: 25.7.2024
Winter timetables for Lifti, the shared public transport of Vaasa and Mustasaari, will enter into force on Monday 5 August 2024, and local buses will operate according to the winter timetables until 1 June 2025.
Changes and updates are expected in Lifti’s winter timetables, including pilot routes. These changes aim to prevent potential delays, balance rush hour traffic, and facilitate school commutes.
The changes affect the following lines:
- Departures for lines 1 and 7 have been adjusted to prevent potential delays.
- Line 7 also has more 7K departures added on weekdays. Weekends remain unchanged from the 2024 summer timetables.
- A few new departures have been added to line 5 on weekdays to balance rush hour traffic.
- For line 30, both the route and timetable have been updated in conjunction with a new transport contract. The route runs from Vaasa through Vähäkyrö to Tervajoki; every departure goes to or starts from Tervajoki. The new route started operating already in the 2024 summer timetables.
- The upcoming winter timetables will also pilot new routes on the Länsiniitty-Koskisuo-Gerby route. This line particularly serves students of Länsimetsä School who travel from the Länsiniitty or Koskisuo areas.
- The operator for the line is Invataksi Niemi, and Waltti travel cards are accepted as payment.
- Detailed information about the pilot routes can be found on the Lifti website.
