Lifti winter timetables enter into force on 7 August

Lifti’s winter timetables be in force on Monday 7 August 2023, increasing the number of departures by around 40% compared to the summer period. Local buses operate on the winter timetable until 2 June 2024.
A few changes have been made to the timetables compared to last year:
- Bus 3 departures at 10.15 am and 11.15 am from Gerby will end in the city centre. Also, the buses that departed at 10.55 am and 11.55 am from Vaskiluoto will henceforth depart from the city centre.
- Two departures, taking place in the middle of the day, were added to Bus 5. The aim is to make school transport easier.
- Departures of bus 5 from Kråklund end at the Market Square. The route of bus 5, when departing from Market Square, runs via Raastuvankatu and Kasarminkatu to the Vaasanpuistikko/Kauppahalli stop.
- Lines 7 and 7K will follow a shortened route through Vöyrinkaupunki.
- Bus 12 was created to support the service of bus 7, which operates during school hours. The route of bus 12 follows the route of bus 7 between Länsiniitty and the city centre, visiting also Vöyrinkaupunki.
- The final stop of bus 8 will be moved to Hevoshaantie in Pukinjärvi.
- The first departure of bus 10 in the morning will depart from Gerby later than before – at 7.30 am.
- The timetable of bus 21 was updated. One additional departure has been added, which will run on weekdays on the route Markbacken–Kronvik–Central Hospital–City Centre.
- Minor minute changes have been made to the timetable of bus 30.
The route and timetable changes make it easier for the buses to keep to the timetable and improve the service, especially for school and commuting.
Winter timetables, more detailed routes and possible exceptions can be found on the Lifti website. Service buses will continue to run as normal.
