Huutoniementie and Yrittäjänkatu will be closed again during maintenance work on level crossings

The section of Huutoniementie between Sairaskodinkatu and Ruutikellarintie will be closed between 22 October at 21.00 and 23 October at 7.00. During the work, vehicle traffic will be diverted from Huutonieiemi to the city centre via Sairaskodinkatu and from the city centre to Huutoniemiemi and Vähäkyrö via Ruutikellarintie, Rantamaantie, and Strömberginkatu. Light traffic will be routed via Itäinen Ratakatu.

The section of Yrittäjänkatu between Postikatu and Höstvedentie will be closed from 26 October at 21.00 to 27 October at 07.00. During the works, traffic will be diverted via Kråklundinkatu and light traffic via Postikatu and Itäinen Aitakatu.

At both level crossings, the supporting layers with props and rails will be replaced and new rubber covers will be installed.

New rubber panels and edge beams will be installed on both level crossings.

Impact on public transport

The arrangements in Huutoniementie will also affect public transport. Lifti lines 1 and 4 will use an alternative route during the works.

Route 1 

Departures at 20.40 and 21.40 from Västervik and departures at 20.45, 21.45 and 22.15 from Liisanlehto will follow the alternative route Rantamaantie – Strömberginkatu -Huutoniementie.

Departures may be delayed by up to 10 minutes. The stops on Ruutikellarintie will be left out of these routes during this period.

Route 4 

Departure from Gerby at 21.05 and departure from the airport at 21.00 will be operated along the alternative route Rantamaantie – Strömberginkatu – Melaniementie.

Stops at Ruutikellarintie, Strömbergin puistotie, and Dynamotie will be left out of these routes during this period.
