EnergyWeek in March is more powerful than ever, now over four days
EnergyWeek, the top energy event held at Vaasa City Hall from the 11th to the 14th of March, opened for registration on the 15th of January and has seen a record number of enrolments. Once again, thousands of participants from dozens of countries are expected to attend. There will be a good number of exhibitor stands to visit on all four days of the event.
“The exhibitor stands on Tuesday, focusing on wind power, have already sold out, but there might still be a few stands available at the end of the week,” says Kristoffer Jansson, Communications & Brand Manager of EnergyVaasa.
During EnergyWeek, the top energy professionals attending will be presented with the most fascinating new concepts and innovations and will have the opportunity to hear the latest news from the energy sector. Now in its 12th year, EnergyWeek is the most important networking and sales event in the Nordic countries for local, national and international energy sector players.
“This year, EnergyWeek will follow its traditional concept, but with one important change. In line with visitor feedback and the wishes of the organisers, we have reverted back to the four-day formula in order to provide an equally powerful event while maximising convenience also for those travelling from further afield. Over the four days, there will be 25 seminars with more than 160 speakers and more than 200 exhibitors,” Jansson says.
“Unfortunately, the venue has not grown, but this means that we all get to enjoy the familiar setting of our magnificent Vaasa City Hall. As in previous years, we urge you to pre-register for the seminars that interest you, and to arrive on time for them. We will be sending a reminder text message for each seminar to ensure that everyone will remember to take a break from the lively discussions and head to the seminar room in time to get a front row seat,” Jansson smiles.

Presenting important but familiar themes
EnergyWeek 2024 will focus on four important themes: energy and climate, wind and renewable energy, energy storage and gas energy. The week’s programme will also include events on the circular economy, space technology, artificial intelligence, data centres, the energy transition and data security, as well as events exploring the US energy market and the funding and growth of renewable energy. Match Making sessions will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. The exhibition events will be open for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday. The Energy and Innovation Awards will be presented on Wednesday.

EnergyWeek kicks off on Monday with the traditional Energy and Climate Seminar, which, unlike the rest of the week, is an influencer seminar in Finnish. The theme this year is Europe’s energy resilience in the face of geopolitical change, and the afternoon will be spent seeking answers to questions about whether the European Union and Finland can compete with the United States, which provides massive public funding to companies in this sector. Should the next European Commission put competition issues more firmly on the agenda? Is Finland destined to remain a producer of cheap electricity and hydrogen?
- Vaasa EnergyWeek is a four-day event organised collaboratively by about twenty organisations. EnergyVaasa and Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK are the main coordinators of the event.
- Except for the Energy and Climate Seminar on Monday, EnergyWeek will be held in English.
- EnergyVaasa is the largest energy technology hub in the Nordic countries and includes companies that develop sustainable, energy-saving technological solutions that reduce emissions. EnergyVaasa includes more than 180 companies with more than 13,000 employees in total.
