EnergyWeek celebrates another year of success

Published: 27.3.2025

This year’s EnergyWeek strengthened the event’s reputation as a key meeting place for energy experts at the local, national, and international levels. EnergyWeek 2025 broke records with more organizers, more participants, more speakers, more matchmaking meetings, and more international guests than ever before.

– This year, EnergyWeek grew by ten percent in most areas. It was great to see that many new participants had found the event and joined for the first time, says Kristoffer Jansson, EnergyVaasa’s Communications & Brand Manager.

The objective of EnergyWeek is to bring together experts from the field and to offer them new contacts, networks and potential partners. This year’s main themes were energy and climate, wind and renewable energy, energy storage and clean gas energy. The seminars also highlighted many other current topics related to the future of clean energy technology.

– The 29 seminars held during the week maintained a high standard. There were few empty seats in the seminars and at times even cues to the seminar halls. We have received a lot of positive feedback both from participants and from the forty organizations involved in organizing the week’s fairs and seminars. The seminars showcased both the broad expertise within the EnergyVaasa cluster and how external players choose EnergyWeek as a platform to expand their networks and share information, says Jansson.

EnergyWeek 2025 reached record-breaking numbers:

  • Over 9,000 participants from at least 52 different countries (2024: over 8,000 participants from at least 48 countries).
  • On Tuesday, around ten ambassadors and representatives from different embassies attended the event.
  • Over four days, we heard 263 speeches from 198 speakers in 29 seminars (2024: 214 speeches from 163 speakers in 25 seminars).
  • Matchmaking meetings were held over three days, with the number of meetings growing again compared to previous years (2025: 780 meetings, 2024: 710 meetings).
  • The number of international guests was the highest in EnergyWeek’s history.

This year’s successful event serves as a springboard for EnergyWeek 2026, which will take place March 16–19. Work is now underway to collect feedback from the audience, organizers, and exhibitors for the planning of next year’s event.

– It’s fantastic to see how EnergyWeek continues to grow every year. EnergyWeek is a highly successful and important event for the region, and each year, it is important to evaluate how the event can be developed to maintain its popularity and relevance, says Jansson.
