On Good Friday, we will settle down with Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem, which he composed in memory of his friend Robert Schumann and his mother. The texts, taken from the Bible by Brahms himself, are given universal meanings by the wonderful soloists and the Canticum Maris choir from Vaasa. The Central Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra is always a welcome guest in Vaasa and the joint concerts of our orchestras are a celebration of great musicianship and the collegiality that unites our regions.
