Changes to public utility charges and rents

Public utility charges and rents in the City of Vaasa will increase effective 1 September 2024. Prices have been indexed by an average of 5–10%, taking into account the upcoming VAT increase.

The changes affect parking fees, berth rentals, various permit fees, and the rental of public areas for construction sites or events, among other things.

The price list update takes into account the increase in the VAT rate from 24% to 25.5%, effective from 1 September 2024.

The price increase is part of the economic rebalancing programme approved by the City Council. The goal is to achieve savings of approximately 40–50 million euros in the city’s operations for the period 2024–2027.
