Attention young people – money available for events and projects!

Vaasa Youth Council provides funding for young people’s voluntary activities. Funding can be applied for the local young people’s projects and events, upkeeping the activities of small hobby groups, or to cover a part of some larger project. Grants can be applied until 31 October 2024.
Grants can be applied by groups of at least two 13–29-year-old people. All the members of the group must be residents of Vaasa or study in Vaasa.

By handing out grants, the Youth Council wants to encourage young people to produce events and other activities that as many young people as possible can enjoy.
– Now is your chance to secure funding for your dream project! There is still money available from the spring grant application, so I strongly encourage you to apply at a low threshold. The goal is to ensure that as many young people in Vaasa as possible can benefit from new ideas, says Aaro Helo, Chair of the Youth Council.
The projects that receive funding must be designed and implemented by young people, and they must be assessed using a reporting form afterwards.
The Youth Council will decide on the recipients and grant amounts during its meeting on November 21, 2024. The funded activities must be organised by May 31, 2025.
