Öjen is located in Sundom, roughly four kilometers south of the city centre. The area is dominated by old, undisturbed spruce forest and is a protected area, belonging to the European Union’s Natura 2000 network. The area is managed by Metsähallitus, which also manages the nature trail and rest spot located in Öjen.
