General information about the teaching provided at TaiKon
In Vaasa education in visual arts, crafts, theater arts, music and dance is given according to the general curriculum. The teaching groups gather during the afternoons and evenings 1-3 times per week, depending on which art form the students are attending (look at the weekly schedule under respective art form).
For education in music and classical ballet look up the Kuula-institute.

Insurance
The City of Vaasa has a voluntary group accident insurance, which covers the direct medical costs of accidents in basic arts education, and during basic arts education camps and excursions up to 10,000 euros.
The insurance covers immediate medical treatment in both public and private healthcare facilities. In addition, the parents or guardians of a child can take out an additional accident and/or property insurance if they so wish. For example, if a pupil slips and falls on the way to class, the property owner’s/municipality’s liability insurance may apply.
Adult education centre gift card
A gift card gives a child or young person positive experiences that will bring long lasting joy.
You can order a printed gift card for an amount of your choice, with a minimum of 21€. The recipient can use the gift card to pay all or part of the course of their choice.
Order the gift card electronically through the TaiKon registration system.
We will send you an invoice for the gift card. You cannot pay for the gift card using an online bank as you set the value of the gift card yourself. We will mail the gift card to the address you have given.
Note! You can only pay the course fee with a gift card at the Alma office at Kirkkopuistikko 15.
Unclaimed works and found objects
After the last academic year, lots of works and found objects were left behind at TaiKon. Are you missing anything?
Works from the previous academic year can be collected at TaiKon Mon-Fri 9.00–15.00. You may wish to bring your child along, as we may not be able to tell which works belong to your child. The lost and found items are in the central corridor at TaiKon, and the art works can be found in front of room 7.
