Youth work week in Vaasa

The national youth work week is celebrated from October 7th to 13th. The purpose of the theme week is to highlight the work done by youth workers, organizations, municipalities and parishes for the benefit of young people. Youth services organizes various events during the week. Read below what’s coming!

Program:

Monday 7.10.
• “Currently looking for youth work” event at the youth center in Kyrölä from 13:00 to 16:00. Introducing the activities of Etsivan’s youth work and serving coffee.
• Smash game tournament at Café Kultsa from 17:00 to 20:00.

Tuesday 8.10.
• Kultsa fair in Kultsa yard from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Introducing the operation of youth services and the information point related to the youth council’s operational grants. Sharing juice and cookies!

Wednesday 9.10.
• Rokkikoulu open doors from 15:00 to 18:00.
• Open Stage Café in Kultsa from 4 to 6 p.m. Do you want to perform? The stage is free!
• The rainbow group organizes a cooking evening at the youth center in Sumppu from 17:00 to 20:00.

Thursday 10.10
• Youth museum team, Ostrobothnia museum at 3 p.m.
• “What is investigative youth work?” discussion event at Café Kultsa from 17:00 to 19:00. The event will include live music, experience expert Emmi’s lecture & panel discussion. The panel discussion discusses the effects of youth work and peer support on life.

Friday 11.10
• “They draw with chalk!” -street chalk art at the youth center Ristikka from 17:00 to 21:00.
• Youth disco youth center in Kyrölä at 18–21.

Saturday 12.10
• Nature trip and barbecue at Pilvilampi (Närvänmutka barbecue shelter) from 18:30 to 20:30.
