‘Vila kan man göra i graven’ explores the place of humans in a performance-orientated world. It deals with themes of shame and inadequacy, while reminding us that we are not alone in these feelings.
Blending personal experience with a desire to find a reasonable balance in life, Tove Qvickström has written a monologue about perfectionism, exhaustion, insomnia and a constant feeling of not being enough. It’s a performance with many recognisable elements, but also with a large dose of humour and self-irony.
Balancing madness and truth, Vila kan man göra i graven offers an opportunity to laugh at the absurd situations humans can find themselves in and an opportunity to rest in recognition. Experience the performance and let it be a catalyst for dialogue and self-awareness. It’s time to stop, laugh and maybe not take yourself so seriously.
