The musical is a dramatization and composition based on Finland-Swedish writer Karin Erlandsson’s book “Nattexpressen”.
Premiere in March 2025 in Jakobstad with continued performances at Norrlandsoperan in Umeå in April.
Nattexpressen is a Nordic cooperation project between Musikalakademien and Novia University of Applied Sciences. In addition to Musikalakademien´s and Novia’s students, Susanne Marins can also be seen on stage.
Eleven-year-old Danja is drawn into an adventure where both young and old manage to travel on the magical train Nattexpressen.
All of them are searchers hoping to rediscover what was so good before. All the things in life you don’t want to let go of. But what if Nattexpressen stops working and searchers start disappearing? Or if no one in the family even wants to believe that Nattexpressen exists?
