SATU KALLIOKUUSI: AQUA POLLUTIO 12.8.-29.8.2021

In her series Aqua Pollutio, Satu Kalliokuusi addresses the threat of pollution of our waterways and resources. With her works, the artist also takes a more general view of the purity of our water bodies. Kalliokuusi mainly uses organic and organic materials in her works. She often works on recycled fabrics and her colors are usually found in kitchen cabinets or are non-toxic earth colors.

The artist has already for several years participated in, among other things, the activism that is directed at the mining plans for Hannukainen in Kolari and together with the local population founded the project Art Äkäslompolo for modern art. The project adds social and environmental art to the region.
