RIIKKA LENKKERI: LOST IN THE STUDIO

Riikka Lenkkeri’s exhibition Lost in the Studio takes the viewer inside the painter’s head – the experimentation involved in working and the questions the artist poses to her work as she paints. Of particular interest is all that remains hidden beneath the surface of the finished work.

Riikka Lenkkeri lives and works in Mänttä. She graduated from the L’Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti in Genoa, Italy in 1995. Lenkkeri’s art shows her knowledge of European painting tradition. In her work, she often applies historical painting techniques and pictorial references to contemporary painting.
