The Farce of All Farces Celebrates Närpes Teater’s 60th Anniversary
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a theatre? In Michael Frayn’s award-winning play “Noises Off”, which has been performed worldwide and has been referred to as the world’s funniest play and the farce of all farces, the audience is given a genuine glimpse into the backstage life of the theatre.
In Swedish, the play has been performed under the titles “Rampfeber” and “Kaos i kulissen”. We follow a theatre troupe as they rehearse a play. With the premiere just around the corner, everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Props disappear, actors enter at the wrong time, lines are forgotten, and everyone uses the wrong doors. How will it all end?
Join us for an evening filled with laughter and high energy. On stage are nine familiar faces from Närpes Teater, ready to present the theatre’s 60th-anniversary production. The play is directed by Tinja Sabel and will be performed in Swedish.
The premiere is on November 9th in the Frans Henrikson Hall (Hotel Red & Green in Närpes). Open rehearsal the evening before.
