The Ostrobothnia Film Fest programme starts on Thursday 20.2 with the film concert “Fragment från ett sekel”.
“Fragment från ett sekel” is a combined concert and film screening where personal stories are presented together with sounds and moods from Ostrobothnia today, with references to the last century. The theme is the development of man for better and worse in harmony and disharmony with the timeless elements of nature. There is ice bath and sauna, industry and culture, love and war with questions about what we want to do in the next century. “Fragment från ett sekel” is composed and filmed by Audun Nedrelid who has a background as a filmmaker and musician. He comes from Norway, but lives in Kaskö where he got inspiration for the project.
The band consists of musicians from the jazz and rock scene in Ostrobothnia; Anton Lindholm on guitar (1G3B, The Siewert Öholm Experience and The Parties), Mikael Skogberg on bass (Magic Wave, Lasse Eriksson Band, Nektor, Kouzin Bedlam) and Patrik Björni on drums (Noste, BÖRN Quartet).
Mikael Södergrann is responsible for sound design and Dolby mix.

“Fragment from a century” premiered at Ritz in Vaasa in January 2023 with several performances in Ostrobothnia after that.
The project has received funding from the Swedish Cultural Foundation, the Art Society and the Swedish-Ostrobothnian Society.
