I Fäälan plays music at the City Museum Carlsro
I fäälan is a Finlandswedish trio consisting of Kenneth Nordman (fiddle, key harp), Mats Granfors (fiddle) and Tom Forsman (guitar).
Our roots are in the Southern Ostrobothnian music tradition. We are walking in the footsteps of the music and folk musicians from the old days. “I fäälan” is dialect for “in the footsteps”, related to “fälas” meaning “to traveö”.
I Fäälan has performed in Finland and Sweden at various festivals and events. In 2023, the trio released an album tutled “THRE”. I Fäälan was chosen as the Group of the Year for 2024 at the Eläköön Folk Gala in Finland.
