Fishnet workshop

Come and learn how to make a fishnet by hand with expert Leif Kaarto from the Ostrobothnian Fisheries Association! We’ll provide the natural cotton fiber to work with and the first 10 participants will be taught by Leif. Others are welcome to watch, learn and skill-share together.

Alongside, we have a fun fashion design workshop, drawing inspiration from fishnets and nautical style throughout the ages. We’ll be discussing upcycling, and eco-design too!

Granösund’s Fishing Museum will be selling coffee, tea and cinnamon buns.

The workshop is organized together by the Cooperative 3E, the Ostrobothnian Fisheries Association and the Gränosund Fishing Museum (Granösunds fiskeläge/Gränosundin saaristolaismuseo). The event is free and you do not need to register.
