Article categories: Museums & Folklore
A look into chores and traditions during autumn in the old agrarian society.
On Thursday we will offer a guided tour about autumn, at 13 o’clock in Swedish, at 14 o’clock in Finnish, and 15 o’clock in English. The tour offers a glimpse into daily life during autumn in the old agrarian society, before the arrival of industry and clocks. After a summer rich in food, sunlight and warmth, the weather gets colder and darker very soon. Because of this, people would fill their time with preparations for the long and frightening winter. It was important to finish all tasks and get the food storage filled.
We will meet at the yellow info-stand, next to the parking area. Dress according to the weather, for we will be outdoors. Free entry.
