Services for job seekers

We offer training and coaching programmes to support your employment and help you develop your skills. We can also assist with career guidance and matters related to work ability.

Participate in training or coaching

We regularly organise various training and coaching programmes to assist you in your job search.

Labour market training

Labour market training provides education to enhance your professional qualifications and support your employment. It may include basic, vocational, or specialist vocational qualifications, qualification units, further or supplementary training, entrepreneurship training, or integration training.

Recruitment training (RekryKoulutus)

Recruitment training is a quick way to acquire skills tailored to an employer’s needs and to secure employment immediately after completing the training programme. It combines theoretical studies at an educational institution with practical workplace learning.

Most programmes require no prior experience and are ideal for career-changers and recent graduates. During the training, you can receive unemployment benefits and continue your job search.

Career coaching

If you need help planning your future, consider joining career coaching, which typically lasts 1–2 months. These group sessions are offered both online and in-person.

Your Employment Services officer will arrange your participation, after which you can enrol in the agreed-upon coaching.

Job coaching

Job coaching is available for personalised support in your job search. A job coach will help you identify and showcase your skills and strengths in the labour market.

Your Employment Services officer will schedule your initial appointment with a job coach, after which you can arrange follow-up sessions directly with the coach.

Help in choosing a career

A work try-out, or trial, is a great option if you’ve graduated but lack experience in your field. It allows you to demonstrate your skills to an employer and may lead to a job.

Work try-outs are also useful for exploring new professions or industries if you’re considering further education.

Inquire about pay subsidy

If you’ve been unemployed for a long time, pay subsidy may be an option. Pay subsidy is paid to an employer who hires a job seeker with a long-term unemployment history. Discuss the possibility of pay subsidy with an Employment Services specialist.
