SILTA-project
The SILTA-project, which has received significant ESF+ project funding, has been launched with the goal of building a strong, employment-driven, and skilled multidisciplinary employment network in the coastal region of Ostrobothnia. The project supports the TE2025 reform by developing employment services. The project period’s total budget is 1.7 million euros, and the project will run for three years. It is a group project where the main implementer is the City of Vaasa Employment Unit, and the co-implementers are Alma Adult Education Centre, Vamia, Yrkesakademin, and Vaasa Parish Union.
The BRIDGE project is part of EU Structural Fund’s “Innovation and Skills in Finland 2021–2027” programme and is funded under the “Competent and Inclusive Finland that Provides Work” (ESF+) priority area, which aims to support employment, skills, working life development, continuous learning, and flexible education paths.
Funding
The total budget for the three-year project is 1.7 million euros, of which 80% is EU funding and 20% is self-financing. It is a group project where the co-implementers contribute with their own funding. Each co-implementer covers approximately 15% of the total budget, while the main implementer funds slightly over 40% of the project. The project follows a percentage-based reimbursement model, known as the flat rate cost model. In this project, a 40% flat rate model is applied, which is the primary funding model for development projects.
Together We Achieve More
The project is carried out as a group project, with the main implementer being the City of Vaasa Employment Unit. The co-implementers – Yrkesakademin, Alma Adult Education Centre, and Vamia – contribute tools for developing courses and micro-trainings, particularly for improving the language skills of immigrants. Vaasa Parish Union provides immigrants with opportunities to enhance their practical language skills and integrate into the community.
