Strategic theme programmes

City Strategy of Vaasa will be implemented through four themes, from which theme programmes have been formed:

Attractive Vaasa
Climate neutral Vaasa
Enablers

Theme programmes are a key part of strategy implementation. The theme programmes compile and cross-administratively describe the key strategy implementation measures, related responsibilities and timetables, as well as evaluation criteria and metrics.

The theme programmes will remain for the length of the council’s term of office.

A happy and competent Vaasa

The goal of the theme programme Carbon Neutral Vaasa 202x is to reach carbon neutrality by the end of the decade. The theme programme guides the way of Vaasa and its inhabitants towards a carbon neutral, sustainable, and wellbeing society.

We work towards making Vaasa a city of 100 000 inhabitants. We work for this by consistently increasing domestic and international employee attraction and retention, by increasing the number of available jobs, and by supporting industrial growth.

Climate neutral Vaasa 202X
